Services: The "Birrificio del Catria" was born from the will of the Brewer Pietro Corrieri to find the rural origins of beer and brewing. The processing of barley and the use of pure water extracted from the sources of Monte Catria allows the creation of this Agricultural Beer, daughter of a territory and an ancient and stubborn people. For this reason the beers of the "Birrificio del Catria" are "Agricultural Beers", the entire production chain, from sowing to bottling, takes place within farm and the consortium to which it belongs. The very concept of Agricultural Beer is therefore linked to its own production and to the idea of ​​a 0 km chain. It is an act of love for one's own territory and a demonstration of trust and passion towards genuine beers, which preserve the flavors of country life and the scents of freshly picked barley. In the restaurant adjacent to the brewery it is possible to taste our agricultural beers together with the best selection of traditional Marche cuisine revisited by our chefs. Our accommodation with swimming pool, obtained from the old family stone farmhouse, houses six apartments furnished with the simple and essential style typical of the area, with exposed wooden beams, wrought iron finishes and terracotta floors.

Alte Marche - Ciclovia del Gusto
I nove segmenti della Ciclo Appenninica, interconnessi ad anello, si possono percorrere singolarmente oppure in tappe successive. Un grande libertà nella composizione dell'itinerario, con la certezza che ogni sosta può regalare ai cicloturisti splendide sorprese naturali, culturali ed enogastronomiche. CAAM offre la possibilità di esplorare i tanti spazi artistico–creativi, lasciarsi trasportare dalle eccellenze culinarie, scoprire gli affascinanti borghi, perdersi tra gli scorci mozzafiato di questo territorio.La ciclovia è in sicurezza e affiancata da una cartellonistica che indica il tracciato e tutte le necessarie informazioni. In ogni comune toccato dalla CAAM si trova un’apposita area destinata a info-point con pannelli illustrativi nei quali sono riportate le varie indicazioni turistiche, ambientali, storico-culturali ed eno-alo-gastronomiche del luogo, oltre a quelle riferite ad assistenza tecnica, incluso l’affitto e-bike a pedalata assistita. In linea con i requisiti previsti dal network di prodotto “Bike Marche”, nelle stesse piazzole è presente una stazione di ricarica e-bike, ancoraggio di sicurezza e colonnina per piccole riparazioni.Il progetto “La Ciclovia del Gusto” ha avuto l’obiettivo di portare la CAAM ad un livello ancora più alto e specifico, immaginandola quale circuito bike di nove tappe che percorre i territori delle Alte Marche, incontrando molti degli eventi legati alla promozione locale dell’eno-alo-gastronomia, attraverso la scoperta di ingredienti, prodotti, preparazioni, eccellenze, cucine tipiche e locali e permettendo a coloro che percorrono le strade della CAAM di vivere esperienze autentiche, in periodi dell’anno diversi da quelli canonici, destagionalizzando i flussi, per vivere al meglio il territorio delle Alte Marche

Bike & Tours - Percorso 5 - Da San Lorenzo in Campo ad Urbino
An itinerary rich in art and culture on one side and marvelous natural landscapes on the other. From the village of Montalfoglic, towardsFratte Rosa country of terracottas, continuing towards Fossombrone and Isola del Piano, a place of great artisan traditions and purely biologicalcultivations. Proceed north to Urbino, a UNESCO heritage town, the capital of the ancient duchy of Montefeltro, made magnificent by the DukeFederico da Montefeltro during the Renaissance, The Galleria Nazionale delle Marche and the Palazzo Ducale rapresent the maximum expression of very interesting works of art and architecture. In Fermignano, the Romans defeated the Carthaginians led by Asdrubale; Acqualagna is a land of truffles. Advancing along the path of the ancient Via Flaminia, we arrive at the precious Natural Reserve of the Gola del Furlo with 3600 hectares of woods and meadows and then we descend again towards Fossombrone.

Lungo la Via Flaminia - Progetto Appennino Outdoor PU
Lungo la via Flaminia (l’antica via aperta nel 220 a.C., che conduceva da Roma a Rimini), sul tratto in cui questa costeggia il fiume Candigliano, si trova la celebre Gola del Furlo, divisa tra i comuni di Fermignano e Acqualagna. La valle, scavata come un canyon, è stata disegnata da fenomeni erosivi tra i monti Pietralata e Paganuccio e, nel corso dei secoli, è stata anche teatro di sanguinose battaglie. L’itinerario è ideale per lasciarsi incantare dalla meraviglia di Acqualagna, parte della riserva naturale della Gola del Furlo e sede della splendida abbazia di San Vincenzo al Furlo. Da non perdere, poi, Fossombrone, cittadina pregna di bellezza, arte, storia e cultura millenarie.

Cammino dei Cappuccini in bici - Prima tappa da Fossombrone a Frontone
Il punto di partenza è il Convento dei Cappuccini di Fossombrone.Da qui si raggiunge la galleria romana del Furlo, si attraversa l'omonima gola dove ci si può fermare all'Abbazia di San Vincenzo fino ad arrivare ad Acqualagna.Prima di arrivare a Cagli si può ammirare il Ponte Mallio di origine romana.Si prosegue poi verso Frontone con la stupenda Rocca.Il ciclopellegrino autosufficiente dovrebbe utilizzare una bici adatta a tutti i percorsi, asfalto, ghiaia, sterrato, perciò la bici più adatta potrebbe essere una mountain-bike dotata di tutti i supporti per borse, borracce doppio e portapacchi, oppure una delle moderne bici gravel o e-bike sempre dotate dei supporti di cui sopra. Bike & Tours - Percorso 7 - Verso il Monte Nerone
Uphill, with difficulty towards the Apennines, we go even further towards the west. From Montalfoglio, always towards Pergola, a town of the Gilded Bronzes and then to Cagli, a town along the Flaminia, closed to the south by the Catria, Petrano and Nerone mountains. Continue to Piobbico, an ancient fief of the Brancaleoni family with their castle overlooking the village. Apecchio is not far, but the climb starts to get tougher. The summit of Monte Nerone, which probably owes jts name to the famous consul Gaius Claudius Nerone, is about 1500 meters. The pleasant descent leads us back to Cagli, deviates towards Frontone in the shadow of its austere castle, which in its form recalls the bow of a ship. From this point the way back, follow the one forward.

Capuchins - Stage 2: from Gola del Furlo to Cagli
From Flaminia, just after Hotel La Ginestra, we take the paved road that descends to the left. We cross the bridge over the Candigliano River and after 400 meters, we keep left along the road leading to Monte Paganuccio.Shortly after, we leave the paved road and take a gravel path that ascends to the right. We follow it for about 2.2 km, staying on the main trail. We pass by a ruined house, a fountain, and a small shrine on the right, then continue on the main trail until we reach a field. We cross the field and follow the same path for another 500 meters. After passing through a pine forest, we reach a three-way junction, where we take the left path that climbs a small hill.After 400 meters, we pass through a barbed-wire gate, and at the next intersection, we continue on the road ascending to the left. After another 200 meters, we leave the dirt road that leads to the Monte Varco ridge and ascend to the right for a short stretch until we reach another gate. After crossing it, we continue downhill on a mule track for 500 meters until we reach a field, which we skirt on a slight incline to the left.After 200 meters, we turn right at the junction, and after 400 meters, at the next junction, we turn right again. Another 400 meters, and we take a dirt road that descends to the right. 100 meters later, we continue to the left until we reach a semi-abandoned house, which we pass, then continue descending on the main road for 500 meters until reaching Ca’ Rio, a valley-floor village. At the junction, we turn left. The road becomes paved for a few hundred meters before returning to a gravel path.We continue 2.2 km uphill until reaching Agriturismo Ca’ Pierello, where water and a good rest stop are available. The route continues uphill, and shortly after, we leave the gravel path to take a trail on the left, which leads into the forest. 400 meters later, we rejoin the main gravel road and take it to the left.We proceed 500 meters until we reach a road that ascends to the right. Before taking it, it's worth going 300 meters left to visit the Sanctuary of Santa Maria delle Stelle, then returning to take the right road. 400 meters from the junction, we leave the gravel road for a steep trail climbing to the left. We follow it for 600 meters before joining a mule track ascending to the left.After 200 meters, we take the right road at the junction, then 800 meters later, we turn right onto a descending dirt road that borders a field. (Alternatively, especially in bad weather, from the Sanctuary of Madonna delle Stelle, you can take the main white road descending to the right. At the first crossroads, take the road leading to Agriturismo Vellaneta, skirt the settlement keeping it on the right, then follow the trail bordering the large field. Pass through a small wood, and upon reaching a junction with old benches, continue descending steeply until reaching a small hamlet).After 600 meters, turn left at the junction, then 200 meters later, turn right. Descend sharply for 1 km, then turn left. We pass through a small hamlet, where we find a water source, then turn left at the junction. 500 meters later, we reach the main gravel road. We make a slight left turn, then immediately turn right, crossing a bridge, and continue uphill.After 500 meters, we arrive at the ruined church of San Giovanni in Offagna, continuing to the left of the church. Shortly after, at the junction, we turn right, and 400 meters later, we reach a three-way crossroads, taking the left descending path. We follow the trail for 900 meters until reaching a stream, which we cross before continuing uphill to the right for 1 km, reaching a ruined house. We pass it and turn right.After 1.4 km, at the junction, we turn right onto the descending road. We continue for about 2 km, and as we approach the city, the road becomes paved again. At the intersection, we turn right downhill. We cross a small bridge and enter the Arena del Fiume area, below Cagli, then head into the historic center.Once in Cagli, it's well worth visiting the ancient Cappuccini convent, one of the few to retain its original architecture, built on the military fortress designed by Renaissance architect Francesco di Giorgio Martini.

Capuchins - Stage 3: from Cagli to Fonte Avellana
From Piazza di Cagli, we walk along Via Giacomo Leopardi until we reach the Torrione, a symbolic landmark of the city. From the Torrione, we turn left onto Provincial Road 29, then take Via della Vittoria. After 400 meters, we turn right onto Via Flaminia Sud and follow it for about 900 meters towards San Geronzio. About 100 meters before reaching the church—optional to extend the walk and visit if open—we leave the paved road and take a trail ascending to the left.After 200 meters, we leave this path and take a right trail uphill (Frassati Trail). Another 250 meters leads us to a field, which we follow along the right side for about 600 meters. At the junction, we turn right (signposted Fonte Avellana) and continue along this trail for 1.3 km. After 600 meters, we leave the Frassati Trail, and at the next junction, we continue along the main road, which descends to the left.After 500 meters, at an intersection, we take a small steep trail directly ahead. We cross two fences close to each other and then descend left, skirting a field for 200 meters. At the bottom, we find a gravel road, turn right, and after 1 km, we cross a paved road leading from Acquaviva to the mountain. A few meters ahead, we take another gravel road descending to the left.Passing through Ca' Ventura, we find a potable water fountain. Soon after, we meet the paved road again, and in front of us appears Frontone Castle. 20 meters ahead, on the left, we leave the pavement and take a gravel road downhill (signposted Molinaccio). 600 meters later, we leave the gravel road and take a small descending trail to the left leading to Ponte del Diavolo.After crossing the bridge, we continue straight, passing through Calamello, where the road turns paved again. 100 meters later, we leave the pavement and take a dirt road on the right, bordering a cultivated field. We cross the field entirely until 800 meters later, we reach a wider trail ascending to the right. We follow it for 300 meters, keeping left, until we carefully exit onto a narrow, poorly marked trail leading into the forest.Traversing the forest for about 400 meters, we reach a wide mountain trail and continue straight. 600 meters later, at a junction, we continue on the gravel road, arriving at Paravento village. After 300 meters, we intersect a paved road encircling the town and turn right, soon reaching a washhouse with a water source. Just past it, we turn right onto a gravel road.After 100 meters, we turn left, passing a plaque with the inscription "Battaglia di Paravento." We skirt a fence uphill, navigating a washed-out and eroded section (manageable and not dangerous). 700 meters later, at a three-way intersection, we choose the second right path, leading 2 km to Buonconsiglio village. From there, we continue right on a paved road, passing a small group of houses "Ca’ de Guido." We turn left onto a gravel path descending (CAI signage on a light pole), indicating “Madonna dell'Acqua Nera”. Following the descent, we cross a stream via a small footbridge and reach a recently fenced property, used for animal breeding (horses).After passing through a gate, we leave the house on our left and take care not to ascend along the visible mule track but instead follow the dirt path in the forest, continuing at a level altitude while keeping the plowed fields below us to the left. We follow the main track, which becomes wider and clearly marked, descending while enjoying a view of Frontone Castle to the left. We continue straight until we reach the road that leads up the mountain, then descend left until we arrive at the paved road leading to Foce (Via Avellana).We reach the offices of the Catria company, and upon arriving at the outskirts of Frontone, one can choose to stop for lunch and visit the castle, or even spend the night here if accommodation is unavailable at the Fonte Avellana Monastery. After walking 200 meters on the paved road, we take Via Valbona on the right, then follow the aqueduct road, which leads to the Monte Roma trail, eventually connecting to Fonte Avellana.The first stretch is paved and very steep, lasting about 1 km. We always follow the main track, now in a gentle ascent, ignoring side roads that descend or lead to fields. After two sharp curves, we reach a clearing where the road ends, and we take a small path to the left, which allows us to reach the main gravel road.We turn right, with the option to ascend Monte Roma, which is to our left, then continue along the road while enjoying a beautiful view of the Foce valley, the cable car, and Monte Acuto to our right. This nearly flat path leads us to a junction called “La Forchetta,” where we intersect the paved road to Fonte Avellana.At the small square/parking area, several trails branch off; we take the left path, cross a gate for animals, and descend along the main trail, which leads to the monastery. Below to the left, we spot the small monks’ cemetery. We reach the rural building serving as a guesthouse, overlooking the Fonte Avellana hermitage, where visitors can eat, rest, and enjoy the serene environment.Depending on the monks’ schedule, one can visit the monastery, the scriptorium, and the precious library, either in the afternoon or the following morning.

Anello di Cagli
Dall’antico convento dei Cappuccini, suggestivamente arroccato sopra l’abitato di Cagli, prende avvio un affascinante itinerario ad anello che si snoda lungo la verde valle del torrente Bosso. 21^ Tappa Viae Sancti Romualdi: Serra di Burano – ChiasernaDa San Lorenzo di Burano si sale verso la cima della Serra di Burano da dove si può osservare una bellissima panoramica. Con una piccola deviazione si può raggiungere la Croce posta nel punto elevato del crinale. Si scende attraversando la bella faggeta della riserva naturale del Bosco di Tecchie caratterizzata da un interessante coesistenza di faggi secolari e cerri che raggiungono oltre i 30m di altezza. Camminare lungo i sentieri di questo bellissimo parco naturale significa immergersi in una natura incontaminata ed integra. Uscendo dal bosco si prosegue per un tratto su sterrato poi su asfalto finché si incontra la Pieve di San Crescentino del XIII secolo di stile romanico-carolingia in cui si può ammirare la torre al fianco del campanile anticamente usata per controllare la Via Flaminia. Continuando si raggiungono il comune di Cantiano e la sua frazione di Chiaserna dove poter riposare.

22^ Tappa Viae Sancti Romualdi: Chiaserna – Fonte Avellana.Il primo tratto si svolge all’interno del paese di Chiaserna, su strada asfaltata, affiancata dalle caratteristiche abitazioni che fanno da cornice. Superata la zona chiamata Malecchie la strada diventa una sterrata (Via Piana) che raggiuge la SP50 per riuscire in circa un Km a prendere a sinistra il Cai 253 il quale in breve supera il rifugio Ca Strada e raggiunta ex cava si prende il sentiero Cai 252a che sale in diagonale lungo il versante, costeggiando anche alcune caratteristiche roccette. Si incrocia la strada lasciata per 2 volte e in quest’ultima abbandoniamo il sentiero Cai continuammo un tratto con la strada perché molto  panoramica teniamo sempre la destra finché incontriamo di nuovo il sentiero Cai 252a.Lo  riprendiamo per raggiungere  la sterrata con di fronte il Rifugio Boccatore. Oltrepassiamo quest’ultimo e saliamo nel sentiero Cai 289 lungo la bella faggeta che conduce alle praterie di Pian d’Ortica. Qui si può godere di un meraviglioso panorama verso il versante nord-est, la parte marchigiana del M.Catria e, più lontano, verso i monti del Furlo e nelle belle giornate il Mar Adriatico. Si attraversa la strada tenendoci vicino ad essa si entra nel bosco con lo stesso sentiero e prima di raggiungere Costa Calecchie prendiamo un sentierino che inizia a scendere inizialmente in maniera impegnativa, in un bosco ceduo per raggiungere le sorgenti del Cesano, una zona aspra ma di rara e incontaminata bellezza. Si continua passando sotto la Balza dell’Aquila ci troviamo sotto prati sommitali del Monte Catria un luogo particolarmente incantevole per la vista che si può avere sulle pareti rocciose a strapiombo. Raggiunta la strada le Scalette la prendiamo a sinistra per raggiungere la grotta di San Pier Damiani luogo di grande spiritualità camaldolese dove il silenzio regna padrone. Qui il santo era solito rifugiarsi per ritirarsi in preghiera e recuperare l’elevazione della mente a Dio. Si ritorna indietro ma alla prima curva si prende a sinistra il sentiero che scende al monastero di Fronte Avellana regalandoci bellissime panoramiche sullo stesso.

Bike & Tours - Percorso 6 - Da San Lorenzo al Monte Catria
A challenging route that leads to the slopes of the Umbro Marchigiano Apennines, but the effort is certainly rewarded by the rich natural scenery, by the silence of places where time passes slowly. After passing Pergola, head towards Serra SantAbbondio and up to the Eremo di Fonte Avellana, a place so evocative as to be narrated by Dante Alighieri in canto XXI of the Paradiso, the monastic center of the Camaldolese monks. Passage to the Castle of Frontone and from here begins the climb to Mount Catria with its 1701 meters high, recognizable by the cross that stands on its summit.From here the panorama is vast and regenerating. The descent is rapid, the path enters Umbria to Isola Fossara, continues on the border in the direction of Sassoferrato on the eastern side of the Apennines, touching Cabernardi known for the presence of ancient sulfur mines and then returns to the village of Montalfoglio.

Cammino dei Cappuccini in bici - Seconda tappa da Frontone a Fabriano
Da Frontone si prosegue verso il Monastero di Fonte Avellana, da qui si prosegue verso l'Abbazia di Sitria e Isola Fossara in territorio umbro.Si arriva quindi a Pascelupo e si rientra in territorio marchigiano fino ad arrivare ai Piani di Casalvento nel territorio del Comune di Sassoferrato.Si attraversano poi alcune località fabrianesi immerse in una splendida vallata fino ad arrivare a FabrianoIl ciclopellegrino autosufficiente dovrebbe utilizzare una bici adatta a tutti i percorsi, asfalto, ghiaia, sterrato, perciò la bici più adatta potrebbe essere una mountain-bike dotata di tutti i supporti per borse, borracce doppio e portapacchi, oppure una delle moderne bici gravel o e-bike sempre dotate dei supporti di cui sopra. Da Arcevia per il tour delle Abbazie
In the mountains. The music of wind and streams, in search of peace between history and sacredness.This itinerary is certainly challenging for the uphill difference in height, but equally rewarding for the panoramic views and for the sense of absolute tranquility that is felt in many of its stretches. The roads are largely free of car traffic, with a bottom suitable for road bikes or gravels. . Passable all year round, but advisable especially in spring-summer and autumn.It starts from Arcevia, the "Pearl of the Mountains", and from here you go down to Conce to enter the SP 14 up to the Maestà Junction. Turn right and go up to Avacelli, to continue to Rocchetta and walk along the spectacular Scappuccia Valley. We're in the middle of the Gola della Rossa Park. After Lake Fossi, you go up to Pierosara. From San Vittore, with its Romanesque abbey, you enter the Frasassi Gorge, among the high cliffs that are in the custody of the treasure of the Caves. From the medieval village of Genga continue to Meleto, Trinquelli and from the panoramic pass to Nebbiano. With a short detour you can get to Fabriano for a visit to the Museum of Paper and Watermark. A narrow road between the fields leads us to Sassoferrato, the ancient "Sentinum", with its Archaeological Park. He then takes Scheggia, immediately diverting to the left for Bastia, between Monte Cucco and Monte Strega. From Perticano and Pascelupo you reach Isola Fossara and, on the right, go up to the Abbey of Sitria, a place relevant for the ancient presence of the Templars. Going down from the pass towards Serra Sant'Abbondio, with a detour to the left you can reach the majestic monastery of Fonte Avellana. In the direction of Pergola, go down to Bellisio Solfare. From here a challenging climb takes us to Cabernardi, in the sulphur mine area. Capuchins - Stage 4: from Fonte Avellana to Pascelupo
From the Fonte Avellana Monastery, we take the paved road descending to the left. After 900 meters, we find the Sant’Albertino shrine on the right, and 400 meters later, we leave the pavement where a small sign reads "Valle Calecchie," turning right toward Sella Valle di Nocria. After 300 meters, we ascend on a trail to the left, climbing into the undergrowth (CAI Trail 232, which will accompany us almost to Coldipeccio).After 700 meters, we reach the Nocria Pass and continue to the right, heading toward Isola di Fossara. For the next 1.5 km, we traverse a wild and fascinating section, emerging from the forest to reach the Piano di Sant’Angelo, then continue straight ahead, following signs for Coldipeccio.We descend slightly, keeping to the right, with the horn of Monte Catria on our right. Before us, a breathtaking panorama opens up across the valley, with the hamlet of Coldipeccio visible in the distance.Continuing our descent, we stay to the right, and after 700 meters, we carefully take a CAI trail on the right, leading back into the forest. We follow it for 900 meters until reaching a small house with a watering trough, then proceed straight down into the valley—being cautious not to take the trail ascending to the right.After 1.5 km, we arrive at Isola di Fossara, where we find a water source, as well as a small supermarket and bar. We cross the main road and continue straight along CAI Trail 232, which leads to Coldipeccio. After crossing a small bridge, we reach a junction, where we continue straight along the gravel road, keeping the Sentino River to our left, which will follow us for part of the route.After 1.8 km, we leave the main road and take a steeply ascending trail on the right (CAI 232). 300 meters later, at the next junction, we take the right-hand trail, and after another 300 meters, we climb up a very steep section to the left, reaching beneath a power line tower. We continue on the main trail, and before us, Coldipeccio village comes into clearer view.After 700 meters, we reach the Castellaro junction and turn left, following signs for Coldipeccio. After 1.6 km, we arrive in Coldipeccio, where we can drink from a water source. We pass San Michele Arcangelo Church and descend for 1 km, reaching Pascelupo.In Pascelupo, one can leave their backpack and continue for 2.5 km to the Hermitage of San Girolamo, where in April 1526, Blessed Paolo Giustiniani sheltered the first Capuchins. Unfortunately, the hermitage is still inhabited by the Camaldolese Hermits of Monte Corona and is not open for visits, but it remains a remarkable and atmospheric location worth approaching.

23^ Tappa Viae Sancti Romualdi: Fonte Avellana – Coldipeccio-Pascelupo
23^ Tappa Viae Sancti Romualdi: Fonte Avellana – Coldipeccio-PascelupoDal Monastero di Fonte Avellana iniziamo a scendere con la strada asfaltata SP52, superiamo sulla destra l’edicola di Sant’Albertino e in breve arriviamo ad una grande curva una carrareccia sulla destra dove c’è l’indicazione per “Valle Calecchie” che prendiamo. Raggiunto il fiume Cesano, lo attraversiamo per inerpicarci nel sottobosco con il S.I. e il Cai 232 raggiungendo il Valico di Nocria. Qui possiamo osservare il bellissimo panorama, dove a Sud si trova la boscosa Valle di Nocria, a nord il Monastero di Fonte Avellana alle pendici del Monte Catria.   Continuiamo con  il sentiero Cai297 attraversiamo i prati di Nocria e scendiamo nel bosco, dove è presente anche la segnaletica bianca e azzurra che contraddistingue i sentieri voluti dalla congregazione di Fonte Avellana ( da seguire).  Nella parte finale della discesa, l’acqua piovana ha scavato il sentiero e l’ha reso ancora più suggestivo. Arrivati a valle, s’incontra il F.so di Nocria dove le sue acque confluiscono in quelle dell’Artino (loc. Maestà Confibio), in corrispondenza di una piccola edicola votiva si sopraggiunge alla Strada SP226 in cui si volta a sinistra. Si percorrono circa 500 su strada asfaltata per raggiungere l’austera Abbazia di Sitria, la cui fondazione si attribuisce a San Romualdo intorno agli anni 1016-1020.Ci troviamo ora nella Valle dell’Artino, tra le pendici del Monte Catria e del Monte Strega. Qui il Santo visse i 7 anni durante i quali si fece imprigionare, dai monaci. Ancora oggi è visitabile la cella indicata come “prigione di S. Romualdo”.  Si continua a sinistra del torrente in un piccolo sentierino che ci aiuta a raggiungere Isola Fossara, dove troviamo anche una fonte d’acqua e nell’ex scuola, l’Associazione Fronte del Parco gestisce l’ostello e punto ristoro. Attraversata la strada principale, si prosegue dritto seguendo il sentiero CAI 232 per raggiungere Coldipeccio/Pascelupo la nostra prossima tappa. Superato il ponticello, si continua su sterrata alla cui sinistra scorre il fiume Sentino che ci seguirà fino a quando il sentiero Cai 232 volta a destra e inizia a salire alla prima curva lo lasciamo il sentiero cai per prendere una vecchia mulattiera che sale con dolcezza sotto dove a partire dall’Alto Medioevo, c’era Castello di Tiègo che dominava incontrastato, sul territorio locale. Arrivati ai prati, si riprende il Cai 232 superiamo l’omonima località “Case Tiego”, dove esiste ancora l’omonima fonte medioevale, la quale ci avvisa che siamo prossimi al paese di Coldipèccio. Pascelupo è circa un km più un basso.

L’itinerario prende avvio in uno dei luoghi più affascinanti e carichi di spiritualità dell’Appennino: il suggestivo Monastero camaldolese di Fonte Avellana. Da qui il percorso si snoda attraverso incantevoli boschi di latifoglie e maestose faggete, regalando un’immersione totale nella natura incontaminata. Arcevia e i suoi Castelli
Arcevia and its castles, nestled in the green of the woods, between high walls where time has stopped.Medium-high difficulty path for the numerous climbs, which however are short and with modest slope. Surely the beauty of this path makes you forget the fatigue. Passable all year round, but advisable especially in spring-summer and autumn. The roads are almost traffic-free. It is mandatory to stop and visit Arcevia and its Castles that meet along the way.From the Provincial Road Arceviese, at the junction with Barbara, you climb gently for 4 km to Montale and then with a steep but short detour you can decide to climb to Piticchio. Return to the Provincial Road that runs on the ridge, overlooking the mountains up to the San Vicino and on clear days up to the Sibillini Mountains. You then go up to Arcevia. Just outside the town you can enjoy the view of the Strega and Catria mountains. Then, after a short downhill stretch, turn right and take the road of the old quarry and return to Conce and then head towards Vado and Avacelli. There are numerous viewpoints on Arcevia and the mountains behind and towards the sea. After returning to the Maestà Junction, you go down to the castle of Castiglioni, and passing through the center of the small village continue towards Serra de' Conti and Osteria. Then go up to Barbara to go down to the Provincial Corinaldese and then go up to Castelleone di Suasa.On this beautiful and panoramic stretch you will meet one after the other the castles of Loretello, San Pietro and Palazzo. Crossing Montefortino you return to the Conce roundabout and, after a short stretch on the Provincial Arceviese, go up to Montale and take the panoramic road on the ridge to Barbara. Prende il nome dall’insediamento Romano che fungeva da ponte tra la città di Roma e i paesi riposti dopo l’appennino verso la costa Adriatica. Oltre ai preziosi scavi archeologici studiati dall’Università di Bologna, questo percorso vi farà rivivere i momenti dell’epoca, il grandioso impero conquistatore.Si continua in direzione del Borgo duecentesco “Barbara”. La storia di questi luoghi affonda le radici nel VI secolo, quando Senigallia, città bizantina e avamposto longobardo (quindi “barbaro”) si insediò in un borgo vicino. Da allora, quel borgo prese il nome di Barbara. Tra un borgo e l’altro ci sarà sempre lei, che fa da contorno e ne è allo stesso tempo la protagonista indiscussa: madre natura nelle sue più affascinanti nuances.

Ai piedi dell'Appennino - Arcevia - Genga - Sassoferrato
Si parte da Arcevia, prima cittadina spartiacque tra la campagna marchigiana e i primimonti dell'Appennino umbro-marchigiano verso Sassoferrato. Fondata intorno all’anno mille è sempre stato un importante punto di controllo. Si arriva così a Genga, dove ebbe origine l’omonima famiglia a cui apparteneva papa Leone XII. Genga è anche un centro termale e riserva naturalistica. La vista si perde verso l’alto seguendo le sinuose curve che da dolci diventano ripide salendo nel verde intenso dei boschi appenninici.

Alta Strega - Sassoferrato
Un percorso in salita fino a raggiungere una delle vette più curiose di tutte le Alte Marche, il Monte Strega! Come quasi tutte le montagne, ha le sue leggende: il mito narra che qui in passato si praticasse il culto di una sacerdotessa indovina simile alla nota Sibilla Appenninica, il suo nome era per l'appunto Strega e numerosi sono i segni della sua presenza nelle vicinanze. Ci spingeremo fino a 1278 mt s.l.m. La vista che si ottiene da questa cima ripagherà ampiamente ogni sforzo. Continueremo scendendo in direzione di Sassoferrato.

Bike & Tours - Percorso 3 - Da San Lorenzo in Campo ai Castelli di Arcevia
An itinerary of medium length and fair difficulty that leads to the discovery of tiny villages: the nine castles of Arcevia. First passage, the castle of Caudino, where it is narrated of a battle between Guelphs and Ghibellines, to arrive soon in Arcevia town from the completely practicable walls overlooking the Apennines. The highest stage is that of Avacelli, then Castiglioni and Montale, clinging to a hill and Piticchio, surrounded by fertile lands always suited to organic farming. Continue towards Montefortino with its sacred Celtic fountain and down towards Palazzo with the best preserved structure, then San Pietro in Musio and Loretello, the oldest among the castles and one of the best examples of military architecture in the Marches. We close with Nidastore, before resuming towards San Lorenzo and Montalfoglio.

Arcevia e i suoi castelli - Progetto Appennino Outdoor AN
Questo splendido tour ci porterà alla scoperta di  Arcevia, uno dei borghi più belli d’Italia e dei suoi magnifici castelli disseminati nel territorio circostante. Partiremo dal parcheggio della Frazione di San Giovanni Battista per salire fino al centro storico di Arcevia, città che si erge maestosa tra i monti che guardano gli appennini umbro - marchigiani, immersa nel Parco Regionale della Gola della Rossa e di Frasassi. Attraversato il paese ci dirigiamo verso il Monte Sant’Angelo. Lungo il percorso supereremo il monumento in ricordo dell’eccidio di Monte Sant’Angelo e  raggiungiamo la sommità del monte, in cui si trova, circondata da un panorama mozzafiato, l’abbazia benedettina San Michele Arcangelo. Ritorniamo indietro verso il ristorante La Baita per imboccare un ampia sterrata che ci accompagnerà verso la località di Montefortino. Da qui percorreremo, intervallando strade bianche a strade secondarie di collegamento, un giro ad anello che ci permetterà  di scoprire in ordine sequenziale 6 dei 9 suggestivi castelli di Arcevia: Palazzo, San Pietro in Musio, Nidastore, Loretello, Piticchio). Tutti questi piccoli borghi medievali hanno mantenuto fino ad oggi intatti i castelli costruiti a protezione del proprio abitato ed in questo tour avremo la possibilità di percorrere in bici i tratti di cinta murarie dalle quali si potranno osservare, a perdita d’occhio, panorami incantati verso le colline marchigiane.

Nella Valmivola da Serra de' Conti a Corinaldo - Progetto Appennino Outdoor AN
Questo tour ci porterà alla scoperta degli splendidi castelli e borghi millenari incastonati nelle sommità delle colline che affiancano la Val Mivola, una valle in cui i fiumi Misa e Nevola si incontrano dando vita a due fertili vallate. Iniziamo il percorso da Serra de’ Conti in cui il centro storico ha una particolare conformazione che digrada con linee parallele di vicoli e vicoletti lungo il versante della collina. Saliamo poi verso Montale, uno dei nove castelli di Arcevia per poter godere di una vista unica sull’intera vallata. Proseguiamo su stradine di campagna per raggiungere Barbara, una delle “capitali” della produzione del pregiato vino Verdicchio Doc. Dopo aver percorso le stradine di questo graziosissimo borgo ci immettiamo in un suggestivo sentiero facente parte del progetto di riqualificazione territoriale del comune  “Barbaraspasso” che ci permetterà di raggiungere la strada provinciale Corinaldese. Lasceremo la strada provinciale dopo pochi chilometri per immettersi su una strada vicinale che ci permetterà di salire verso il colle sul lato sinistro del fiume Nevola. Sulla sommità è posizionata la splendida città di Corinaldo, insignita del titolo di Bandiera Arancione nonché di Destinazione Turistica d’eccellenza Europea e il cui Borgo è classificato tra i più belli d’Italia. Percorreremo in bici la ronda delle mure cittadine ritenute essere le più imponenti e significative della regione Marche. Lasciamo Corinaldo per raggiungere, attraverso un continuo susseguirsi di saliscendi, la cittadina di  Ostra Vetere riconoscibile da lontano per la maestosa guglia neogotica della chiesa di Santa Maria della Piazza. Da Ostra Vetere una serie di strade bianche ci riporteranno al punto di partenza di Serra de’ Conti.

Percorso ad anello che si snoda all’interno del Parco Regionale Gola della Rossa e di Frasassi. Si parte dall’abbazia di Sant’Elena di Serra San Quirico dove ci accoglieranno dei bellissimi daini nel parco adiacente alla chiesa. Ci dirigiamo verso Serra San Quirico, percorrendo una stradina secondaria parallela al fiume Esino che percorre l’omonima vallata. Attraversato il magnifico borgo medievale di Serra San Quirico delle stradine sterrate ci porteranno nel cuore del parco Regionale Gola della Rossa e di Frasassi. Lungo il percorso al km 17,9 si potrà scoprire “Valle Scappuccia” luogo reso magico dalla gigantesca sporgenza rocciosa (  sito rete natura 2020). Continuando per strade panoramiche si arriverà al bellissimo Castello di Avacelli. A poca distanza del borgo ci immettiamo nel “Sentiero dei Templari”, così chiamato per la presenza della chiesa templare del ‘300 di Sant’Ansovino. Al termine del sentiero riprendiamo la strada per il ritorno al luogo della partenza attraversando il piccolo e graziosissimo borgo di Mergo “affacciato” sulla Valle Esino.

Il Paese dei Fabbri - Fabriano - Sassoferrato
Il paese dei fabbri, detto Fabrano sarà la nostra base di partenza. Posto dalle mille arti tra le quali spicca l'Arte dei Fabbri: ben 38 fabbrerie si contavano nella sola piazza del mercato, dalle quali uscivano continuamente manufatti per il mercato esterno, tanto che il sigillo del Comune già rappresentava simbolicamente proprio un fabbro nell'atto di battere il ferro sull'incudine. Si aggiunsero, in ordine di tempo, oltre ad altre minori, l'Arte della Lana, della Concia delle pelli e soprattutto della Carta, per la quale i fabrianesi ebbero il primato della fabbricazione non solo in Italia, ma nella stessa Europa. Si prosegue per Collegiglioni, San Donato, Marischio e Cancelli con il suo bellissimo Castello.

Bike & Tours - Percorso 8 - Da San Lorenzo a Poggio San Romualdo
It is a continuous up and down that from Montalfoglio leads to the city of Fabriano, crossing San Lorenzo in Campo, Pergola and Sassoferrato again. Fabriano, a medieval city of fine paper, takes its name from the artisan smiths. We descend towards Borgo Tufico of Albacina to gain momentum in view of the climb tovPoggio San Romualdo, surrounded by lush vegetation and the clouds of a sRky that appears closer. Descending towards Castelletta, we reach Genga: we are in the heart of the Regional Park of the Gola della Rossa and Frasassi, immersed in unspoiled nature, famous for the precious underground caves of Frasassi, a rare wonder of nature. Romanesque building with a Greek cross, the Abbey of San Vittore delle Chiuse with itsimposing shape stands out against the backdrop of the limestone walls of the surrounding mountains. From here, you return to Sassoferrato and again to San Lorenzo in Campo.

24^ Tappa Viae Sancti Romualdi: Coldipeccio-Pascelupo – SassoferratoIl percorso inizia lasciando i paesini di Pascelupo e Coldipeccio in direzione Monte Aguzzo un sentierino con il quale in breve raggiungiamo un ampio prato dal quale possiamo osservare delle belle panoramiche sui paesini poc’anzi lasciati e il Monte Cucco che svetta dietro di loro. Con un’antica carrareccia si raggiunge il paesino di Monte Bollo e in breve si scende verso la severa e grandiosa Abbazia di Sant’Emiliano in Congiuntoli, probabilmente fondata da san Romualdo. Ora si sale verso il paesino di Pantana e di seguito le praterie del Monte le Sierre dove possiamo osservare panorami che spaziano a 360 gradi dalla Gola di Frasassi, al S. Vicino, alla catena del M. Cucco, Catria e Strega. Ora si scende in una bel sottobosco verso il paesino di Coldellanoce ricco di storia da raccontare. Attraverseremo il parco dedicato a Pandolfo di Collenuccio per conoscere un personaggio straordinario, che ci permette di riflettere sul Rinascimento italiano, delle Marche nel XV secolo. Continueremo verso Sassoferrato una città che sorge presso le rovine dell’antica città umbro-romana di Sentinum, di cui all’arrivo possiamo fermarci ad ammirare le grandiose vestigia.

25^ Tappa Viae Sancti Romualdi: Sassoferrato – San VittoreL’itinerario inizia superando l’antico Mulino della Marena visitabile, per procedere verso l’abbazia di Santa Croce di Triponzio che in posizione sopraelevata lungo il corso del Sentino costituisce una delle più importanti testimonianze d’architettura romanica della regione, anch’essa visitabile. Monastero gestito dall’ordine Camaldolese dagli inizi del secolo XVII. Usciti procediamo verso il paesino di Trapozzo e proseguiamo lungo le sterrate e le piccole strade asfaltate che dal Monte Santa Croce ci conduce ai piedi del comune di Genga, che con una breve deviazione possiamo visitare. Continueremo con il Sentiero dell’Aquila, cammineremo tra boschi, piccoli borghi di Rosenga, Vallemania osservando panoramiche stupende, dove ci soffermeremo per cercare di vedere questi maestosi rapaci. Continueremo verso l’abbazia romanica di San Vittore delle Chiuse un luogo di culto camaldolese immerso nel verde, dove l’architettura e la natura si fondono in una meravigliosa armonia, ci regalano momenti di pace e tranquillità.
