From the square of Colfiorito proceed towards the Church of Santa Maria di Plestia which marks the entrance to the Marche region. Taking towards the village of Taverne you cross the interior plateau of Colfiorito up to the "Roman Conduit" and "barrel of the Varano". After a few meters you begin to climb among a thick vegetation, reaching 960m altitude, the highest point of the entire path, from which to admire the majestic landscape of the plateau left behind.
Through a steeply sloping path you go down until you meet again the riverbed of the Chienti river right at the entrance of the village of Serravalle di Chienti. Along the river you cross Bavareto. Continuing you need caution: the gorge narrows and in some cases you are forced to cross two vertical rocks on the river.
Leaving the forest at the height of a small hydroelectric power plant, the path will continue with dirt roads; passing Gelagna Bassa you reach the Sanctuary Madonna Col de' Venti whose terrace is an excellent panoramic point on the Sibillini Mountains. From here you go down in the direction of Muccia where you will go to put the stamp on the pilgrims' credential.

A long stage that immediately enters the Marche area and runs entirely through the valley of the River Chienti. Few springs but different locations for water supply: Serravalle di Chienti, Gelagna Bassa, Muccia, Polverina.
