Lauretan Pilgrimages Stage 2 from Spello to Colfiorito
To continue along the Lauretan Path, after leaving Spello, we will cross Foligno, a strategic center and a hub in the Umbria region. Subsequently, we will head towards the hill of Treggio, descend to Belfiore, and reconnect with the Post Road at Sasso di Pale, where we will find the enchanting hermitage of Santa Maria di Giacobbe in a rock cavity. The second stage concludes in Colfiorito, where we encounter the homonymous Colfiorito Plain: an important natural reserve characterized by a unique ecosystem that includes lakes, forests, and meadows.
