We will welcome summer 2022 with the last sunset of spring, from a magical place that dominates the province of Macerata and its villages. To date, little or nothing is known about the origin of this castle, except that it arose in the wake of the great exodus caused by the barbarian invasions in the Piceno. The Rocca di Monte Acuto was a fortress to defend and control the entrance to the underlying valley that winds its way through the mountains towards San Severino Marche. There are numerous legends that hover over this castle or fortress, such as the mysterious weaver who weaves in its basement with a gold loom, or the hen that lays golden eggs, or the serpent placed by the devil to guard the treasure hidden in the dungeons of the castle.
