During the excursion we will make a stop at the Sanctuary of Macereto, unfortunately inaccessible and open to visitors only from the outside, where we will discover its legends and its history. June 10 (day 3) After breakfast, transfer by car to start the excursion (15 minutes) Le Lame Rosse, the canyon of the Sibillini Mountains One of the most famous itineraries of the Sibillini and the Marches, as simple as it is wonderful, near the splendid lake of Fiastra. The itinerary starts from the dam, with splendid views of the lake and the Fiastrone valley and then continues almost always in the shade inside the holm oak forest. We will discover the trees present in this valley and the history of the charcoal burners who lived in these woods, working hard to obtain the coal that was used in craft activities. Finally, when the Lame Rosse is formed, the secrets of their origin will be revealed.
